I cast (casted?) my vote(s) for Fighting Gravity last night. I hope they take the spot.
Even though I figured he would be 3rd despite him being my second favorite act, Prince Poppycock put in a very poor showing last night. He has a good voice, yes, but he is a showman! And last night was only song. And it was boring song. Hhhmmm. Michael Grimm, on the other hand, performed a fantastic rendition of 'when a man loves a woman' -- which I thought was a brilliant song choice. I mean, who hasn't heard that song? And he sang it *so well* that people would easily be able to tell how well he did, just because of how well-known that song is. I think (think, mind you) -- that Grimm might actually find himself in third place, behind FG and Jackie Evancho.
My parents were telling me about Fighting Gravity. I really need to try and watch it, but I keep forgetting.
ReplyDeleteHa, I wouldn't worry about it - seriously, out of all of the acts, I bet they are the only group to actually get picked up for a long-term contract. I'm positive this is just the beginning for them!
ReplyDeleteSo I was wrong - way, way wrong. Poppycock DID come in 4th . . . but FIGHTING GRAVITY came in THIRD!! WHAAAAAT?! . . . I think it's because America loves its singers. So that left Jackie Evancho and Michael Grimm in the 'championship.' Since I thought Fighting Gravity would be the only real competition for Jackie, I thought it was a done deal -- but NO! Michael Grimm takes the top spot, with Jackie coming in second place! AMAZING.
